My wife and I were travelling, and she had a gift for capturing moments — every shot of her was effortless and alive. When it was my turn behind the camera, let’s just say she was less than impressed. So I did what any husband would do — I learned.
What began as wanting to take better photos of the woman I love slowly grew into something I couldn’t put down. Friends and family started noticing. Birthdays, graduations, small celebrations — they’d ask me to show up with my camera, and I found that I genuinely loved being there for those moments. My wife, ever my biggest encourager, saw it before I did: this could be something real.
So I invested in gear, in mentorship, in workshops, in showing up as a second shooter for photographers I admired. I built my craft in Iligan City, Mindanao, where I shot weddings and celebrations across the region for years. In 2022, my wife and I made Iloilo City our new home — and a new chapter began.
Over the past seven to ten years and dozens of weddings from Mindanao to the Visayas, I’ve grown into a photographer who blends refined documentary storytelling with fine art sensibility. I don’t just take photos — I observe, I wait, I feel the room, and I make frames that last.
